  • Bio:

From 2007 until present Robert has been building out MDFs and IDFs for multi million dollar companies across the midwest and has managed hundreds of new construction IT build outs for various project sizes from small retail stores to large shipping distribution centers. Also during this time frame Robert has serviced hundreds of general IT service calls dealing with everything from broadband, to network upgrades, and everything in between dealing with copper cabling, security, fiber optics, and any commercial grade IT equipment maintenance. In between this time, Robert also spent 1 year acting as a Northern Michigan Red Cross IT administrator and has dedicated a small amount of time doing Linux server configurations for a small Indianapolis company.

In 2013 Robert discovered Bitcoin and has spent every free moment dedicating time to advancing his knowledge in the field of cryptocurrency. From March 2013 until April 2014 Robert was a Bitcoin and Altcoin miner building up a mining farm consisting of 34 GPUs and 8 CPUs. Since mining on general computer hardware was no longer profitable for cryptocurrency mining, Robert co-founded FoldingCoin Inc in July 2014 with hopes of helping to redirect a large amount of the mining power that goes into altcoins to be better used towards Stanford's Folding@home project.

Since FoldingCoin was well received in the cryptocurrency community, Robert decided in January of 2015 to go full time in the Counterparty community. Since the beginning of 2015 Robert has taken on the following roles:

    • Director of FoldingCoin Inc
    • Community director for the Counterparty Foundation
    • Host of the LTB podcast: “XCP Weekly Update”
    • Webmaster of
    • Event coordinator to the Indy Bitcoin Meetup

  • Re: Is there any site to sell FLDC cause I didnt found any

@butch not at the time, but the more popular it becomes, the more valuable it will become. All coins have to start somewhere and we are only a month old. Unlike the 300+ other altcoins that are just constantly being put on mining cryptoswitch programs, ours is unable to be mined, it is not a coin but rather a token. We believe that this gives it value in comparison to the other coins. some other things that give it value are:

-the devs of our coin do not have to focus on security of the coin, that is covered by counterparty and Bitcoin Network

-It is backed by medical research, not just a new blockchain

-current ASICs cannot go after it because it is not just a single algorithm

-we are actively trying to develop uses for the coin such as being a currency for groups

@hesham3del Thank you :) please let me know if you would want to do a skype session with me and the other devs, or if you want to contribute by just staying on top of the forums that is a great help as well as you seem to be very knowledgeable about what we are trying to do. Please email me at if you would like to receive anything from me or ask anything outside of the forums. And you should totally give me a counterparty address so i can tip you :) Thanks a million!

@davisconfuse @kerneloops @boyodoso @feryjhie @bikergsx @bitsol @zonda we are working diligently to get other exchanges to accept FLDC. We had a meeting with one yesterday and another tomorrow

@shopnhowler that is encouraged to auction because if anyone wants to support the folding but does not want to use their own PCs, then buying FLDC off someone helps support those who do fold

@sammir @boyodoso @catlinhappy until we get it on exchanges other than the flakey default counterparty exchange we expect to see folks hold into them

@petki4a @alwinlinzee use of the coin is to help support creating medicine for Stanfords program. We are only a month old so it will take some time for adoption but do know that myself, @fbsoulman and other developers are working hard to make this useful. We have an idea to make this a currency for groups to use internally amongst each other, more is to come from this

@davisconfuse the point of FLDC is to encourage everyone to help fold proteins at the Folding@Home project

@hesham3del thanks again for the new thread :) we owe you big time for staying on top this, FLDC will be semt your way from me tonight for your help :) also if you have an active interest in this coin we are looking for more devs to help us so let me know if u r interested :)

  • Re: What is FLDC ?

@d415a it may mean that yor secon credit hasn't been applied yet (but yes it stands for each device, so if u have GPUs those are independent clients)

  • Re: What is FLDC ?

@d415a I looked on the Stanford page and it looks like you are credited 324 credits today, which means you will receive your coins tonight. Sometimes it takes Stanford 24 hours to confirm the work you performed after you submit it
