  • Bio:

From 2007 until present Robert has been building out MDFs and IDFs for multi million dollar companies across the midwest and has managed hundreds of new construction IT build outs for various project sizes from small retail stores to large shipping distribution centers. Also during this time frame Robert has serviced hundreds of general IT service calls dealing with everything from broadband, to network upgrades, and everything in between dealing with copper cabling, security, fiber optics, and any commercial grade IT equipment maintenance. In between this time, Robert also spent 1 year acting as a Northern Michigan Red Cross IT administrator and has dedicated a small amount of time doing Linux server configurations for a small Indianapolis company.

In 2013 Robert discovered Bitcoin and has spent every free moment dedicating time to advancing his knowledge in the field of cryptocurrency. From March 2013 until April 2014 Robert was a Bitcoin and Altcoin miner building up a mining farm consisting of 34 GPUs and 8 CPUs. Since mining on general computer hardware was no longer profitable for cryptocurrency mining, Robert co-founded FoldingCoin Inc in July 2014 with hopes of helping to redirect a large amount of the mining power that goes into altcoins to be better used towards Stanford's Folding@home project.

Since FoldingCoin was well received in the cryptocurrency community, Robert decided in January of 2015 to go full time in the Counterparty community. Since the beginning of 2015 Robert has taken on the following roles:

    • Director of FoldingCoin Inc
    • Community director for the Counterparty Foundation
    • Host of the LTB podcast: “XCP Weekly Update”
    • Webmaster of XCPassets.org
    • Event coordinator to the Indy Bitcoin Meetup

  • Re: Bitcoins And Gravy?

@johnbarrett Hi guys and thanks for remembering me! ha! Well I'm heading up to Indy to a hand specialist to find out what's wrong with my hand - same one I had surgery on 32 years ago - same surgeon looking at it. Been doing a local podcast and dying to get back to Bitcoins and Gravy. Just gotta figure out why this hand isn't cooperating! Peace and love y'all and your words are much appreciated as always. My life definitely is NOT the same without you guys in it!

John Barrett Host of Bitcoins and Gravy

Hey, if you are heading to Indy, I would like to buy you a drink. Im in toledo now, but will be back in indy tonight. How long are you in town?

  • Re: Bitcoins And Gravy?

@clawdiuz wrote in a forum thread he started that was the same as this one:

    "It's been over a month!

Out of the ordinary for the KING of bitcoin ode's. LTB isn't the same when there aren't fresh Bitcoins and Gravy episodes on the front page. Hope all is well, and I'm waiting on #74 friend.

edit: meant to put this in the community bulletin board; also just realized there's already a thread about John in the Content Garden"

    I closed the duplicate thread

  • Re: Spell of Genesis Crowd Sale - Invest or pass?

@cryptmagic I became familiar with Spells of Genesis and Moonga from the Poloniex exchange. I am an early investor in Altcoin technology and am very excited about this project. This is a great avenue into the Bitcoin / Altcoin world for those not familiar with the new technology. An important step to any investment is researching the project and everything around it. I purchased many bitcrystals through the exchange however wish I would have purchased them through the SOG website as I want to collect and save a few of the cards for historical reasons. I am holding nearly 66k worth of bitcrystals and look forward to the release and publicity surrounding the game. :)

If you want to get a hold of more cards, you could go here http://api.moonga.com/RCT/cp/cards/blockchainCards/19fvQB3hLf2hmtXkyVDZQxhuZ8V3BsoCbi#crypto_cards (its my wallets hotlink, but if you scroll done beneath each card you will find a "buy" button

  • Re: Potential scam alert: "Global Advisors Bitcoin Investment"

I got it as well and i followed the link :D The only thing i had to do was give them my Social Security Number and my Bitcoin private keys. Then they asked me to click this link to sign into my new account. Once i clicked the link, my screen flashed black really quick and i just assumed that i had a flicker in the pixels. Then to my surprise once logged in I found out that i had a long lost Nigerian prince for an uncle and he was kind enough to offer to wire transfer me some money so long as i gave him my bank account and routing number.

I am now waiting for my $15 million dollars

  • Re: LTBcoin A Ponzi?

@andaloons Strange discussion is going on in this reddit post. Are some people butthurt by LTBcoin??

I'm confused by the attitude of malaise.

I just read through the forum, every idea is going to have some people disagree with. I think they are misinterpreting the concept of LTBCOIN as a currency when i see it more as a reward point system.

    Haters always gonna hate
