  • Bio:

From 2007 until present Robert has been building out MDFs and IDFs for multi million dollar companies across the midwest and has managed hundreds of new construction IT build outs for various project sizes from small retail stores to large shipping distribution centers. Also during this time frame Robert has serviced hundreds of general IT service calls dealing with everything from broadband, to network upgrades, and everything in between dealing with copper cabling, security, fiber optics, and any commercial grade IT equipment maintenance. In between this time, Robert also spent 1 year acting as a Northern Michigan Red Cross IT administrator and has dedicated a small amount of time doing Linux server configurations for a small Indianapolis company.

In 2013 Robert discovered Bitcoin and has spent every free moment dedicating time to advancing his knowledge in the field of cryptocurrency. From March 2013 until April 2014 Robert was a Bitcoin and Altcoin miner building up a mining farm consisting of 34 GPUs and 8 CPUs. Since mining on general computer hardware was no longer profitable for cryptocurrency mining, Robert co-founded FoldingCoin Inc in July 2014 with hopes of helping to redirect a large amount of the mining power that goes into altcoins to be better used towards Stanford's Folding@home project.

Since FoldingCoin was well received in the cryptocurrency community, Robert decided in January of 2015 to go full time in the Counterparty community. Since the beginning of 2015 Robert has taken on the following roles:

    • Director of FoldingCoin Inc
    • Community director for the Counterparty Foundation
    • Host of the LTB podcast: “XCP Weekly Update”
    • Webmaster of XCPassets.org
    • Event coordinator to the Indy Bitcoin Meetup

  • Re: LTB Redesign and Upcoming Changes

@cryptonaut so much better, thanks for adding that to the recent comments, makes it much easier to understand the recent comment :D

I have noticed another thing though now which will not be a problem when LTB takes over bitcointalk.org in popularity (matter of time) and thats who posted last. for example: right now, myself and adam have been the only ones posting in the last comments, so it gives the appearance that its not an active forum. And sometimes people dont respond right away on the LTB forums yet, and when i get on i do them all at once, so there will be many times when its just me in the recent comments (and i know other people do this aswell). That could be a non-issue, but its just an observation.

Also, it appears that when you go to the recent forums page, that the author of the thread is still shown, but it no longer shows who recently commented. I would like to see this come back, as when i come to these forums, i immidiately look at the person who commented last. If its me, then i know to skip over it, if its not, then i know to read it.

Ill keep posting things that i find as i find them conker

    thanks!

    @21xhipster

@pooktwo will you be adding APIs ? That could be a great addition to your site

What kind of API you are talking about?

It's been awhile since this thread was active, but I believe that I was referring to the market cap information

  • Re: LTB Redesign and Upcoming Changes

@cryptonaut great job as always :D This site is unbelievable!!! I have gone through the site and here is what i find as pros and cons since you asked for feedback:

    Front Page

    • I love the complete look of this much more the the last one. Very clean and nothing wrong with the layout

    • I personally think, that the upper right hand quick access show should always be the most recent episode of LTB instead of the most recent episode overall. Thats the flagship show and should be displayed as such.

    • The recent comments section is a little confusing when you look at it, because it shows what a recent member said, but not the title of what they had been commenting on, so it looks weird. I would suggest either replace it with just titles of the most recently commented threads, or add the title to the recent comment at the top so i know what the person was commenting on. Also there is a lot of real estate between each of these comments, i would suggest squeezing it a little

    • The list view for the front page shows, simply changes it to a wordpress blog style scroller, not really a list. I would like to see an option to make the front page a list view just like the new forums page

    Account page

    • Obviously it was confusing to learn everything new home at the beginning, but now that i am used to it, the organization structure is much better.

    The rest of the site

    • damn, i wanted to nit-pick this but i cant find anything wrong lol. This is probably more of my preference, but i always enjoy smaller text, and the site has larger text then normal in addition to more space between lines and boxes. I would like to see that squeezed, but its just me stretching to find something lol
  • Re: XCP Weekly Update Podcast

Sorry about the delay. Just getting back to crypto work after a rough week. Episode will be released tomorrow, will be a long one since 2 weeks will be covered.
