  • Re: What will happen after 5 years for LTBcoins ?

    @hesham3del Hello,

    What will happen after 5 years for LTBcoins ?

    Will it die ? I can't really stand this after being around you guys, I'm already feeling I'm between my family.

    I've read about that counterparty protocol at the docs, but I would like to hear more clarification please.

    Five years is the initial distribution period but the majority of it happens in the first three, right now we're in a "bootstrap" phase so the coins are finding homes with people who will care about their future. As we get further down this path it will actually cost LTBc whether from the audience or the creator to get promoted through the entire network because the LTBc acts as curation points and whether self curated (sponsored) or really curated (lifted up by many people).

    So there will still be free LTBc, it'll just be recycled from some of the "sinks" we create to keep the "faucets" flowing

  • Questions/Topics for todays session (Andreas/JeffreyTucker/Adam)

    Update: Recording happened! thanks to everyone for questions, I used one or two explicitly and read them all. We did not have as much time as I hoped and really only got to a few topics, but it was a good one!

    Hey all, In a few hours I'm sitting down for a 1-2 hour recording session with Andreas and Jeffrey Tucker. I really like talking with Jeffrey about big picture stuff, and we tend to have rambly conversations that touch a lot of topics.

    Are there any specific topics or questions you think I should keep in mind, please post 'em here and I'll work in what works.

  • Re: Problems with the latest magic word

    Update

    Episode 11 of Beyond Bitcoin now has a working magic word, although have fun spelling it (I used the dictionary spelling).

    Also it was my mistake with Arthur not being able to use the magic word system, his account wasn't specified as a podcaster much to my chagrin. Everything is correct now.

  • Re: Problems with the latest magic word

    Yeah, I just woke up to an email from Arthur asking how to set up the magic words (you enter it where prompted at the very bottom of a podcasters post)

    Anybody want to PM the word to me? I'm listening to the episode but not sure where it is

  • Re: Problems with the latest magic word

    @CDJ990 what episode? You can message me if you'd prefer

  • Re: Can there be a sub-forum about Music ?

    @hesham3del Hello,

    Can we have under the "Content Garden" forum, a sub-forum about music ?

    I don't think we can live with feeding our souls with spiritual tunes.

    Bam http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/board/musicians-square

  • Re: Will you ever have more subforums to get more people posting here?

    @page I like posting to reddit more than posting here, mainly because I am becoming tired of thinking about cryptos and like some other subjects more atm. I would rather there were more subs here I could post to. Something like an anarchist sub, or it can just be a sub about decentralisation, that is something all anarchist flavours like and could get some posting here from reddit. I would like that! I'm sure they would too if they knew it could make them some money.

    Yes!

    and like Reddit, you'll be able to post links to elsewhere and discuss them in the comments here, you'll be able to upvote and downvote to curate, etc. The redesign is underway now, this is just the launch design so we had something to test the mechanics and start building the community.

    Sounds great to me

  • Watch Out for Scams - Fake Wall Street Journal -> Fake Blockchain.info -> Steal Your Moneys

    Earlier today we had several posts that claimed to be articles in the wall street journal covering Blockchain.info offering some sort of loan. Several of us (hattip @crimsonroze) were suspicious and sure enough the domain it sends you to is the-wsj.com which is not exactly legit.

    So the scam seems to be send you to the fake WSJ article where you find out about blockchain.info giving out free money or loans or something and you click the link in the article to the fake blockchain.info where you then log-in giving the credentials to the scammers, who then use them to log into your real blockchain.info account and clean you out.

    DONT GET FOOLED there are no do-overs in crypto and people want to steal your money.
