  • Re: How many total LTBcoins should there be?

Funny part is, I derived the 3 million number from $.01

I don't want LTB to be percieved as a spam coin, that is my concern.

So far you're the highest at 100 million units, which would have like 40 million created the first year, 30 the second, 20 the third, 10 the 4th, 5 the 5th and 6th

  • Re: How else should the Audience "Mine" LTB? - Proof of Tip and Proof of Comment

The first design for LTBcoin was actually as a distribution mechanism, basically a combination crypto wallet with built in network torrent player. Basically listening (streaming) would be worth a small amount, serving (downloading and seeding) would be worth more and the whole thing is self balancing daily.

This is still on my radar but it is a bit more ambitious than I want to start off with. I do believe this technology might benefit from an infrastructure bounty.

  • Re: Here before the LTBCoin Launch? Get your part of the initial disbursement for the Initial Community

I believe the LTB network will be more like a firm, and that it will interact with other firms both as peers (other content creation networks) and partners (content distribution protocols).

So content that is funded with LTBcoin could be distributed via the ContentCoin network and compete against all other pieces of content from both the LTB network and other for the newly issued ContentCoins by trying to get as many people as possible to maintain a copy of their content on their personal harddrive, which then makes up a vast and very fast content distribution network.

It truly is a brave new world in front of us.

    Flattery'll get you anywhere ;)

  • Re: Tracking the Latest Coin

I think a lot of us are eyeing user-created-assets that represent a basket of currencies. The issuer basically takes in Bitcoin funds and gives back their token. They invest the Bticoin funds into the best altcoins they believe will succeed, and at the end of each month the profit above the initial is sent as a dividend to the holders of the tokens.

The person doing the managing would charge maybe a 1% fee in a competitive market, but for someone really good at this you could probably get away with lots more. It could be convertible for the basket of underlying currencies but that seems like a real pain so more likely it would just represent the value of future dividends.

  • Re: Asynchronous Content Creation

Part of the publishing protocol that has not yet been described will require a unique 600x600 image for each piece of content that is submitted. So I imagine there will be people who will create custom covers for each, people who will customize their stock art for each, people who will pick up ad-hoc pieces of art either for free or something someone made that was waiting for someone to want to use it and thus buy it with LTBcoin.

Our new page/app presentation is going to be aggressively more visual, you see the text once you click the title/author superimposed image.

  • Re: LTBCoin and the start of Private Network Tokens

Dropped the HTML embed and just pasted the address like you did :) Still kicking the tires on these new and fairly expensive forums.

  • Re: The Proof of Publishing Protocol

I'm going to try and walk the line with Hangouts, I really have mixed feelings about them since the vast majority of the time people do not have appropriate gear and they're pretty awful even when the content is good.

You've got a good set up and given prep etc. live is very do-able, but I don't want to set up a system where it's economically advantageous to do hangouts instead of a higher quality show. I want to support it, but it's not my preferred format.

  • Re: The Proof of Publishing Protocol

thats hilarious, in the material they make a big deal about how the content supports HTML natively so I've been hand coding all my links wtf.

  • Re: The Proof of Publishing Protocol

    Live is stressful!
