  • Re: SWARM.XCP - Swarm Coin.

@doogy Like the disclaimer Adam, it's a necessary evil. However, your credibility arising from the LTB network will certainly cross over. I liked the idea of swarm and actually bought in the first available day to buy while recognizing the uncertainties and risks. I did my due diligence to the best of my abilities but I don't have any personal contact with these guys and the average person does not do much of due diligence to begin with.To be honest, knowing now that you interact with them adds to their credibility in my eyes. Do I now all of a sudden think they are the most honest and trustworthy people on earth? Of course not, but they did just go up a notch or two on the trust scale. It's just how human psychology works, no disclaimer is going to negate that :)

name recognition is not that fun a thing, gotta tell you.

  • Re: SWARM.XCP - Swarm Coin.

@troy112 Ahhh!! Well you confused me more that i was, but thanks for the info. You mentioned , it's almost like kickstarter, with just an extra feature of getting the coins of the project you have supported, and you can use them to buy the products or trade them.

But in swarm coin, you first buy coins for raising the funds for the site or platform. Then you use those coins for crowd funding the projects on their site, and i don't know where the coins that the project will generate go. I am really confused, i mean they are just going round and round. And they don't even have a good explanation of the project on their site.

Coinpowers and swarm are very similar, Coinpowers just built the platform before launching the token and Swarm launched their token before building the platform.

Pretty much every interesting thing in the crypto world is going to have its own token that gives you stake in its success or failure. It makes too much sense not to.

  • Re: Whats your price for LTBCOIN?

@maygor I have bought XCP at Poloniex but I'm having problems with the withdrawal from poloniex to my counterwallet… It failed twice and don't know where the problem is... Poloniex or Counterwallet

Check your history on the counterwallet address you expect it on. It sometimes takes a long time for counterwallet to see a transaction but it shows up in your history as soon as its on the blockchain.

If you dont see it there and you didnt enter the wrong address, it's poloniex and you should email them asap.

  • Re: Podcast tracking

@irnhnve Do you know if there an android LTB streaming app in the works? I had always thought that a dedicated LTB app that prompts the listener once or twice in the middle of the episode to see if they are actually listening would be an effective approach.

We are in the planning stages, the android app was basically put on hold (I had a developer but he has likely taken other work) as we learn from the iOS app and get through the initial LTB growing pains.

@doogy Is the App Store 'Let's Talk Bitcoin' app by Marcin Raburski the original and trustworthy app I can download? With the fake coinbase app and others like that, I feel like it's worth asking. Thanks.

Yes, Marcin is the dev on the project.

  • Re: Do we get LTBCoin for commenting on pages via Disqus?

@ltbcoin @adam, @rotalumis 2 weeks - 1 month sounds reasonable. Some of us haven't been able to see episodes in Podcasts app, until it fixes itself after some time.

This is a known issue and we're working to resolve it. This won't be a long term problem, so we're not considering it in our calculations.

  • Re: Tipping LTB with LTBcoin

@william Nicely detailed info Adam. It would be nice to keep having this sort of report for every distribution... Like, is the weekly distribution 2mil ish, now? Maybe a bit less data though--something easier and less time-consuming to digest? Of course, I know it would take time to create this data...

Yep, we're working on a stat page and leaderboard page. A lot of our internal tools will become public once the bugs are worked out.

  • Re: FLDC.XCP - Alternative to GPU Mining

@pooktwo My apologies, The coin is FLDC and the first set of coins will be available next monday when i issue the first round. Also its much easier to use this program than with mining programs so you can use your computers CPU as CPU is useful with their program unlike CPU mining which has been dead for a long time

cool no worries. I just added the asset name to your post title. Sounds like a cool project.

This is a very cool project!

  • Re: Display LTBCoin balance on profile

Yes, the dashboard & stat display haven't come online yet but this is part of that. You'll be able to associate your counterwallet address, and if there is a conflict between people trying to grab the same address, the real owner will be asked to sign a message with their counterwallet key.

  • Re: Airtime on Let's Talk Bitcoin! [ AUCTION 5 CLOSES NOON Pacific time SUNDAY 7/13/14]CURRENT HIGH BIDS: 23k & 12k LTBc - LAST EPISODE WINNING BIDS: 32,542LTBc and 28,442LTBc for and

@bcohen @adam Can winning bidders re-purpose/re-use the ad wherever they see fit after it airs? If so, I suppose you would probably want disclaimer "not an endorsement by LTB"

would you be able to make available file extract?

LTB is released under creative commons and remixing is fine. That said, the "this is not an endorsement" does need to be included because it's not an endorsement.

3 - Indicate what you want to promote and let me tell if I'm OK with it or not.

Incoherent Ramblings podcast. A once every two weeks audio and video podcast.

4 - Not really, what is the show about?

Tagline: We're Incoherent so you don't have to!

Synopsis: A Bi-Weekly Podcast where critical thinking meets pop culture in a collision of mindbending proportions! We grind a topic into submission, with irreverent humor, and interesting insights.

We choose from topics relating to science, technology, philosophy and pop-culture. We take a look at controversy, competing theories and societal issues. The tone is conversationally light while the subjects are often pretty heavy. We offer our opinions and have fun doing it.

As per our name we often run off the rails. Even though we get on a tangent we want our audience to always be entertained and offer them something to think about.

I offer a content advisory because we don't shy away from controversial issues and we swear a bit. We only bleep F*K and C U Next Tuesday but everything else stays in.

Awesome :) That'll be great. I'll mention the adult language thing. You guys ever have guest hosts? I used to call myself the rambler ;)
