@dgiors @adam We would be honored to have you or any of the LTB crew on our show. :D Let's set something up. That would be beyond cool!

Yes, assets are moved first and each asset requires its own tx

  • Re: Earn LTBC by Publishing Your Writings for LTB! All accounts now may compose and submit articles for the front page - Walkthrough inside!

@rotalumis Looking forward to getting access.

And how are we going to have this work for ACTs? Would the Crypto for Change blog need to have its own account on LTB to gain access separately from any posts I might write in my own capacity or for some other ACT?

Did you not have access? LOL

There will be a seperate workflow that people will be able to submit their article too when they want it to go to your editorial staff rather than the main LTB. Right now everything is one workflow, but that will change.

  • Re: Game Development.XCP Coins?

with outlets like steam greenlight, etc. I think you should take another look at the market :) This is an excellent time to build a small, focused, original game and get it out there.

Lets talk about a specific usecase - A singleplayer procedurally generated roguelike.

Off the top of my head, the token could be used in a multiplayer auction house. If the drops are random and items randomly generated, this should work.

A more complicated implementation might attempt to make the "gold" or whatever that people find in-game is actually the same, and of a limited deflationary supply. This would require having games "claim their potential gold" when it starts up, what the player finds during the game they earn and what they don't is never sent to them.

The concern would be that you would have a busy day after a few weeks and it would blow the numbers out of the water, resulting in each person getting less gold or the earlier people getting more gold and later people getting none (because you ran out, expecting fewer people)

Level 1 could have a 1x multiplier for the gold found, 2 a 2x and so on.

  • Re: LTBcoin paper wallet

@robmitchell Thanks @deweller, and sorry I missed your response on the original thread. And regrettably, while I get what you're saying in regards to the way Counterparty sees the transaction, I'm still perplexed about the Bitcoin part of the transaction. The paper wallet is still sending some BTC as a Counterparty message envelope (at least that's the way I conceive of how transactions work, based on what I've read in the LTB forum). So I don't know why the lack of a change address for the tiny bit of Bitcoin being sent isn't an issue.

Think you can explain the BItcoin part of the transaction so I better understand why a change address isn't needed? Don't worry if it's a pain to explain, but I'd love to correct my thinking if my current understanding is not accurate. Thanks!

You do not spend Bitcoin OR LTBC from a paper wallet - You keep them safely in a paper wallet, and when you want to redeem that paper wallet you "sweep" the private keys into a real wallet. You can see how this works by using "Import Funds" and "From another addresss" on your

  • Re: Whats your price for LTBCOIN?

    @maygor Thanks Adam

I checked my XPC address in the XCP blockscan and the transaction doesn't appear… I emailed to the poloniex support. They refunded the balance the first time it failed, but I am still waiting for an answer for the second attempt. ("Being Processed")

The withdrawal remains "pending" in my poloniex balance. I guess the problem comes from them...

It's quite possible they have manual withdrawls. Please keep us updated on your experiance, if there is a problem with Poloniex I will stop listing them as a place that trades XCP.

  • Earn LTBC by Publishing Your Writings for LTB! All accounts now may compose and submit articles for the front page - Walkthrough inside!

You can now freely use our column submission interface!

The most important thing to know is when you are done and ready to submit, change the status to "Ready for Publishing" from "Draft" and click the submit button at the bottom to flag an editor.

As I mentioned, our system is custom and still under construction so it's a bit quirky, here's a rundown of how each element works

Post Title - This is the name of the article

URL - Do not mess with this, it auto-populates based on the post title

Author - Unless you run a blog, this will always be your name, or the name of the primary author if you are editing a piece.

    Post Status

Three possible states -Draft - Work in progress - This is the default status and allows you to edit as long as you want.

    - Ready for Publication - Locks you from further changes, flags an editor - The editor can throw it back into draft, and soon you'll be able to request it go back to draft.

    • Published - If the Publish Date/Time has already passed, that means it is live on the front page. If the publish date/time has not yet occurred

Featured - This is a checkbox you might not be able to see, it means your Featured Image is used instead which takes up 2 boxes worth of space on the front page. This is rarely used and is really just the start of our user curation system.

Publish Date/Time The date/time it will show as published. Can be forward-dated or back dated. Please set your time as you see fit, eventually there will be a "Slot" availability system that shows you where the publication vacancies are but that's a bit out :)

Featured Image (600x372) - Used if your article is featured. NOT REQUIRED

Cover Image (400x400) - Used if your article is published, REQUIRED FOR ALL POSTS

Excerpt - This is the first text box - it is NOT USED IN OUR CURRENT DESIGN - people often mistake this for where they should put their article, and it's wrong.

Content - This is the second text box, it is where you should compose and format your article

Categories - Pick one or two, tags are coming later.

Bitcoin Tipping Address - If you already have one in your profile this will autopopulate.

Soundcloud Track ID - If you have an audio report or podcast, you put in the "Track ID" which is a number you get from looking at the soundcloud embed code (click the share button on the desired track, then embed) - It will look something like 150028193, paste that into the Soundcloud Track ID field.

Audio URL (overrides soundcloud url) - If you do not use Soundcloud

Audio Byte Length (leave this - it autopopulates if you do not use soundcloud)

We've opened up the write interface (it is temporary, we're upgrading to a collaborative editor). If you'd like to submit a piece, here's the criteria we pay attention to when considering something for the front page.

A good piece will be a combination of these elements

    • Interesting
    • Original
    • Informative
    • Educational
    • Playful
    • Inspirational
    • Important
    • Serious

A bad piece won't contain many of the above elements and it might contain things like misleading statements, cheap shots at un-consulted parties (feel free to ask a tough question and then report they told you to buzz off, but don't not ask).

LTB editorial has complete discretion at this point and reserves the right to not publish any work we feel does not fit with the ethos of the platform.

Topics are anything related to crypto, even tangentially. That said, less related pieces will probably be less interesting unless the piece itself is very interesting.

So the tl;dr is "Explore, Examine, Explain" and "Don't be a dick"

As far as topics are concerned, we accept anything from fiction to investigative journalism.

When your piece is published on the front page of, you are "opted in" to

There are no "fixed rates", rather you earn a share based on your contribution of the new Content tokens created the week you publish.

You can see what that looks like here

  • Re: Game Development.XCP Coins?

Hey man, Can you tell me what kind of game you plan to make? I have been interested in something like this for quite some time, but IMO the most important part is the game itself. People have started looking at freemium or f2p games as just vehicles for wasting time and generating play to win sales.

I think if you paired an inventive indie type game with this model you would blow up like a rocket.

  • Re: LTBcoin gaining value as Bitcoin gains populariry

@irnhnve Let's Talk Bitcoin has already secured one of if not the top spot for cryptocurrency coverage at conferences and always has the brightest group of people on the cryptocurrency space. When Bitcoin gains much more popularity in the coming future, and the general population is actually interested in learning beyond what the news tells them, they will inevitably flock to Let's Talk Bitcoin as a credible source of news and engaging content. Currently there are not that many people that are engaged in this community and most of them have already been on this show. I do not foresee experts popping out of nowhere when news agencies come looking for them, but rather they will look for those who are already seen as a news source by the crypto community.

Actually my sneaky sneaky plan is to get the important figures and newsmakers publishing on LTB for everything. :)

And we have quite a few tricks up our sleeves haha.

@jrm30 Really excited about using my LTBcoin! I also received one "Jedi". Not sure what that is. Does this mean the force will be with me?

Yes, I believe that confirms that the force is strong with you.
