I like melodic for the ltbc. I also use coinbase and bit pay but melodic is my fave.

I've always gotten BTC/USD by using coindesk, but the 4 day waiting period is quite lame. I probably won't use them anymore, now that places like cryptsy seem to have better USD/BTC options.
I try to have an account at all the largest alt coin exchanges, it makes buying small market cap altcoins much easier.1 like

Bitstamp, our best friend in Europe, even more after the MtGox debacle.0 likes
In Australia, i have only used Coinjar. They are getting more responsive and professional by the day and are publicly involved in local groups and conferences. So far so good.0 likes

@wassup So the altcoin devs are paying exchanges to be listed?
More or less. If you look at cryptsy they have a 'voting' scheme where users can simply vote on the next altcoin to be added. The problem is that if you have deep pockets, you can buy up a TON of tokens and simply force vote your coin to being listed. It works out great for a developer who has premined a lot of his own altcoin, he can simply pump his own coin on cryptsy then dump it.

I use and lie the following exchanges in this order.
1: Mintpal - Because of their interface , really cool... also because they are now owned by Moolha... and Moolha is a great support of VRC
2 Cryptsy - Because they allow very small trade amounts.. min 10 sats per trade and also because they seem to have a lot of coins in their market place and they seem to be improving their services all the time
3.Bittrex - after what happened to mintpal in the past 1-2 months I started using Bittrex more, but after all the scam coins they have listed lately I am a bit more careful trading there.
4.C-cex as it looks like a good exchange up and coming... lots of coins and a goo interface to..

Kraken is a great exchange, quick withdrawels. The only downside is low volume imo.
Melotic is way worse, look at the bid ask spread. And very low volume.

@karasako I used to be a bitstamp fan. Now I vote for kraken.
I'm quite happy with Bitstamp too but I would like to try Kraken for exchanging bitcoins/euros. I have read only good things about this exchange.

I like the exchange at https://www.virwox.com/?stage=1 here I can get small withdraws of say $20 from BTC into my PayPal account. I would like BTC-e for this reason but they have a minimum withdraw set at, at least $500.0 likes
