I produce a podcast called On the Cusp where writer/comedian Ben Greene interviews people who are "on the cusp" of breaking out into mainstream success. These interviews with actors, artists, musicians, etc. are what we call "interviews with future celebrities."

We're on SoundCloud, iTunes, Stitcher, YouTube, etc: https://soundcloud.com/onthecusppodcast/

I'd like to start accepting LTBCOIN for advertising spots on the podcast. Ideally we'd have an auction for the spots, but I think I just want to feel out if there is any interest from this community to advertise on a non-crypto podcast.

Open to any thoughts and suggestions as to how to proceed.

You can use the auctioneer right now to sell a token representing a sponsorship with ya'll for LTBCOIN

    http://auction.letstalkbitcoin.com/

There are a few issues with the tool at the moment because it's one of our earliest prototypes

1 - It does not let users bid with bitcoin, only token to token. In your case this is not a problem because people will be bidding with ltbcoin which is a token

2 - The current auctioneer does not use 'proxy bidding' so bids are transparent to everybody else bidding. When you bid, you're not just outbidding the next guy under you but bidding up to whatever your maximum bid is.

The next version of the auctioneer will be built on swapbot and work with proxy bidding so the swapbot knows the max bids but each bidder only knows their own max bid, and the current bid.

Alternatively, you could just set up a thread and auction.

Fantastic. I didn't realize that users could create their own auctions -- I thought you had to have some admin privilege. That's great news!

So here's a link to my first auction (which should go live about an hour after the time of this post): http://auction.letstalkbitcoin.com/auction/30-second-advertising-spot-for-on-the-cusp-podcast

Doesnt look like your auction is live yet, double check the date?

I guess it's worth asking @devon if this service is actually still running, it might not be on the backend, been a long time since we've played with it,.

    The service is still running.

You will need to fund this auction. Here are the instructions:

To begin this auction you must send 0.005 BTC, 1,000 LTBCOIN and the prize tokens listed below to 1Pt74RBfd4pMbyrmLt1NmXtRgfcWnR42T6. After these have been received, your auction will begin no earlier than 5.15.2015 8:00 PM -05:00.

These instructions should appear at the secret URL you received when you created the auction. If you don't have that URL, PM me and I can send it to you.

Got it -- didn't see the part where I needed to send 0.005 BTC to activate the auction! Thank you.

I'm noticing a strange issue now... I created the asset ONTHECUSPAD (http://blockscan.com/assetInfo/ONTHECUSPAD) but it is not appearing in my Counterwallet. I am unable to send the asset to the auctioneer as a result.

Any thoughts on this? Is there a limit to how many assets one can have appear at a single address in Counterwallet?

I don't know why this isn't showing up in Counterwallet. Was it just confirming the transaction? Is it still not showing today?

I created the asset on Thursday and was checking on Sunday. I just checked again and I still don't see it in Counterwallet, though it is showing up on the blockchain explorer. Strange, right?

Actually one of the projects we're working on had exactly the same problem, apparently it's a known bug. Try loading the passphrase in your LTB companion and the asset should be sendable although you wont be able to issue or do anything like that until counterwallet recognizes

Thanks, @adam! When I used the LTB companion, I was able to send the token. Strange bug, but it's very cool that the LTB companion allows a workaround!

And now the auction is finally live! :)
