I'm posting this because I like getting a heads up when these things happen. Check out the website http://craigscoin.info/ to see if you like the idea behind this project. I think concept is a really good one and has applications outside of its intended purpose which is a Craigslist/blockchain hybrid.

@birchnels I emailed bittrex to find out if and when trading on CraigsCoin will go live. I see that it comes up in the search on their website but that it is listed as disabled at the moment. I will post here when I find out more.

@birchnels Good question. I don't know. If you learn what that is please share.

@birchnels the ico is active at https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-CRAIG If the ICO succeeds in selling over 50btc of Craig then the project moves on with the developer spending full time developing the project further. The value of the CraigsCoin can not be determined until the end of the ICO. I attempted to purchase some on bittrex but the purchase is still marked as an open order. I'll let you know more as I learn.

Interesting. Haven't seen a coin offered like this before. I don't think I would hold the coin long term. It's probably best to wait until the last minute of the ICO before buying. At that point you would have an idea of what the coin would be valued at. I don't see what is stopping this coin from becoming hugely overvalued.

@optictopic @birchnels the ico is active at https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-CRAIG If the ICO is a success meaning there are over 50btc raised then the project moves on, if not then the btc is refunded. The value of the CraigsCoin can not be determined until the end of the ICO.

Thanks for pointing me to this. From the ANN, I think the success condition is a minimum of 10 BTC. bitcointalk page

Thread says it hit 7.2 BTC a few hours ago.

It looks to me like it's around 20 BTC just now. Last buy was at Saturday Sept 13th 23:55

It can be a bit tricky buying Craig on Bittrex, it is not too intuitive (at the moment). When searching for Craig you have to use the search box in the top left of the page after clicking the BTC tab. You then click the blue text that reads Craig directly below. None of the other search boxes will bring up the Craig listing. Once you are on the main BTC-Craig trading page be careful to take note of the message at the top. It informs you that although it appears that their is a 1 to 1 ratio when purchasing the Craig ICO with BTC the final price of Craig will be determined by the amount purchased in this 9 day period. This is a 100% POS premine of 30,000,000 coins meaning that if only 10 BTC were purchased the value of one Craig would be only 33 satoshis or 0.00000033 BTC. Finally the least intuitive part for people not familiar with trading platforms- in the box titled Buy CraigsCoin under the field Units you type the amount of BTC you are putting into the Craig ICO. Under the field Bid you type 1. The bottom field will tell you the amount you are purchasing plus the nominal exchange transaction fee. I hope this helps the exchange newbie.

I did have a problem when i tried to go to bitrex.com :)

I didn't have problems going directly to https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-CRAIG

    then I registered.

    still no problem going direct.

    haven't got Craigcoin yet though.

I thought I would post that for first time exchange users. Being new to this myself I was a bit confused by the UI they provided for the ICO. I agree with the post above that waiting to see if the ICO is overvalued by the end of the sale is a good idea but I jumped in the game early anyway.
