November 17th update found on https://nxtforum.org/lith-the-nxt-mmo/lyth-development-update-1/ by Damelon:

    "Hi people,

While you were all busy investing in our game, our developers were not sitting still.

For the last two months, they have been working hard in prototyping our game and I am proud to give you the results of their efforts.

At this stage, the results are not "graphic", as our main concern was actually knowing whether our game could work at a technical level. Rest assured that we are also working in parallel on design, music and content. We will update you on this as soon as we are happy with the results.

So, what has been done so far?

    Game Server:

    • The server works, key components implemented are encryption, scheduling, player processing, group management and player visibility. • The rabbitmq system is operational and works perfectly.

    Client:

    • The game client now works by using a C# network library to talk to the server. • It connects to the server and talks with it we can see each other. • Tested interop between the game server and a unity physics server and it worked. • Work in progress on the hex / tile structure.

    Blockchain:

    • Alpha fork of NXT (Lyth) 1.3.x up and running. • Initial integration of RabbitMQ api in place ready for integration with GameServer.

As you can see: very, véry basic stuff! But it provides us with the platform on which we can build the rest.

Here's a teaser of things the dev team will be working on next:

    • Main menu system
    • Player HUD
    • Character information
    • Inventory
    • Player data system
    • Player animation system
    • Camera system
    • Input system
    • NPC Dialog system
    • Shop system
    • Looting system
    • Enemy data system
    • Enemy AI
    • Enemy animation system
    • Combat system
    • Building system
    • Chat system
    • Unity network implementation
    • Max Server implementation

And again, that's just the machinery that won't be seen.

We'll be giving you more regular updates as development progresses.

    Onwards and upwards!"

@optictopic DORCS are now listed on www.http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/ They are currently #25 with a market cap of $545k.

The "cap" of course suffers from the way CMC lists these things.

Sure, we have 2 million Assets issued, but they surely are not all on the market, nor would I myself like to imply we are worth that at this moment.

$545k cap and $14 trade tickles my sense of the absurd.

Still, it's very nice to be listed. But at this moment, we are very happy to just develop and also that people decided to invest.

We'll be starting to reach out to press in a few weeks (once we have some visuals to go with press releases) and we expect to be more visible from that point onwards :)

And so, may Evil beware and may Good dress warmly and eat plenty of fresh vegetables.

They have adjusted the listing since I last looked at it. It now shows a market cap that I assume reflects the actual sales of the DORCS asset which is around a market cap of 96k.

I sent them a message with the correct numbers, so it accurately reflects the Assets in active circulation.

Update on Lyth. The team is promising regular updates on the development process. The https://lythmmo.com/ website is now a good place to delve into what will be one of the first if not the first mmorpg that is built around a crypto-currency.

This is more of an example of the LITH developers skills and not representative of the final product.

Hey, that's pretty good. I hope the gameplay is good too.

I really want to see crypto mmo's take off, i want to see mmo's adopt more aspects of real life (while still retaining the fantasy aspects as well). These games are precursors to VR worlds, it's really cool to watch them evolve year after year.

@shawn_j I would like to see an augmented reality game that you could play at a park driven by crypto. Imagine going to a tennis court and swinging a real racket at a virtual tennis ball to your opponent in another part of the world. Jogging trails turned into real life mario brothers games. Right now the microsoft headset is a bit bulky but give it a few years and the waterproof work out version is sure to make a debut.

Yes i've seen prototype videos of this too. You can grab pickups on your way to work (or wherever). I just hope they don't put any pickups in the middle of the f--king street lol

But if these are crypto tokens, it opens up a lot of opportunities. They could be small amounts of bitcoin.. Or they could be higher level assets, which could represent anything.

They could give you access to crypto-secured content. So you're biking home, you grab a pickup put there by some local band. It gets you a free download of their EP and gets you into their next show for free. And there are 10000000 other uses.
