Weekly Update #19
Robert Ross is a Counterparty Foundation Community Director and the Director of FoldingCoin Inc. Each week Robert and various guests will bring you the news of what has been going on in the Counterparty communities and also touch base on the other Bitcoin 2.0 communities.
I am happy to announce the ability for paid sponsorships. I accept any Counterparty Token that is on CoinMarketCap.com in addition to TOPFOLDER tokens. Please click below:
Thank you to Charles Hoskinson for coming on the show today.
Also thank you to Chris DeRose, and Joshua Unseth for the chit-chat recap of the week. I am looking into finding a permalink so you can simply click here to join the chit chat (an admin setting in the channel needs to change), but in the meantime please tweet @derosetech and he will grant you access.
Please contact me [email protected] with any Counterparty projects you are working on, with suggestions to feature them on the show. Or contact me if you would like assistance or advice on how you can create your project on the Counterparty platform. I may not be able to answer your question or help your project, but I will do my best to find the person who can.
If you are an independent artist and would like to hear your song on this show, please email me at [email protected] and we can arrange something. Thank you to Cyrus Youngman and the Kingfishers for the audio segways.
All tips, donations, and sponsorship payments from this podcast will be used to better the Counterparty Foundation.
This show is not intended for investment advice.

- Spells of Genesis has released a few blogs explaining their most recent partnerships. From the blogs, the following is stated:
LTBCARD - LIMITED SERIES CARD IN COLLABORATION WITH THE LTB NETWORK! LTBCARD is our new blockchain-based trading card, issued in a limited series of 1,000 units and designed exclusively for our partner - The LTB Network. The LTB Network is a publishing platform created for content providers to present the ideas and people involved with cryptocurrency. The LTBCARD will be soon playable in Moonga as well as in Spells of Genesis. The so awaited moment has finally come: we burnt the unsold BitCrystals and GENESISCARDs from the Token Sale. Until September 30th, we were accepting and processing complaints and remarks about the distributed amount of BCY and we were verifying those transactions. We are very happy and proud to announce you our partnership with IndieSquare! IndieSquare is providing the first mobile Counterparty wallet - IndieSquare wallet, an easy-to-use wallet with an attractive interface, which makes Counterparty accessible for everyone! The SoG Team will work together with IndieSquare to produce an intuitive mobile Counterparty wallet. You will be able to connect the wallet easily to Spells of Genesis and to transfer your blockchain-based cards into the game.
I have been working on revamping the xcpassets.org website, and one major change that I have done is move the URL to Counterpartynews.com. I got a lot of feedback from users that they wished to see more news related information and less links to other projects. So when you go to Counterpartynews.com you will see this very change. The main thing was to get the front page looking clean and crisp to start, but I have plans of adding more Counterparty related help for those new comers to the space. Already Counterpartynews.com has over 15 RSS feeds ranging from the Foundation, to Tokenly, to each individual token news. Each news article that you click will open a new tab to the original webpage in which the RSS feed is coming from, rather then hosting the articles themselves on CPN. Please check out the new website and tell me what you think, as I would love for this to be a great tool when looking for Counterparty related news on the web. If you have any requests or feedback, leave them here in the show comments or send me an email to [email protected]
In FoldingCoin news, Joe has the distribution calculations stable and working. Now its time to revamp the statistics page. This will be a work in progress, but by doing the statistics page at the same time of revamping the calculation server, everything should be pretty automated for FoldingCoin soon. This is a good time to revamp everything as James Sewell, the lead developer of FoldingCoin, is stepping down for a bit to focus on his local Kinsmen charity club. The amount of work that James has put in so far for the FoldingCoin project has been unmatched. Because of James FoldingCoin is what it is today and I am eternally grateful for his work. James will still be involved in the conversations and is on the FoldingCoin Board of Directors still, but his time needs to go towards his local community which needs him now. But the horizon looks great for FoldingCoin as I am talking to other interested parties in picking up where James left off. This could also be a good thing as having a fresh set of eyes on the project can help improve areas that we have needed help in. Joe has already fixed some issues that we had before that slipped from our eyes, so I am very excited for what is in the future for FoldingCoin this year. For a full report, you can watch last weeks public meeting or you can read the Community Update that I posted on the FoldingCoin website.
Shout Outs and Sponsorships
- This weeks shout out goes to JP Janseen. On the forums, JP was looking for someone to take over the Counterpartynews.com domain, but he wanted to give it to someone in the community who would develop it for the community. AI am happy that JP has entrusted me to take on the domain, and I hope it serves the community well. Thanks JP for the domain, and I will hopefully be able to turn it into something wonderful.
This week I had an interview with Charles Hoskinson, and he asked that I share the following links in the show notes, as they are relevant to the interview itself. You can also reach Charles on twitter at https://twitter.com/IOHK_Charles
